2011 CPI Conference in Nashville
The Industry Panel member companies presented two papers during the CPI (Center for the Polyurethanes Industry) Conference held in Nashville, TN, USA last September. One paper is related to the Value of Hysteresis Loss as a Viable test for Automotive Seating Performance. This paper won the Best Paper Award presented in the Automotive Session. The second paper reports on the Indutry Panels' attempt to eliminate the use of a Human Panel for testing odor and replacing them with an electronic device. This ground breaking paper is the first of its kind to be presented in any Automotive Conference. The Industry Panel is proud to lead the way and share our findings with the global automotive community. We are fully aware that this work is in its infancy. However, with further colaboration with many organizations and institutions the panel is bound and determined to bring the efforts to a valuable and practical conclusion and provide the industry with a viable instruented alternative to the traditional human panel.
